Mystic Japan is written by a Japanese researcher and culture enthusiast, born and raised in Japan.
We are not outside observers
— we grew up inside the culture, surrounded by shrine festivals, yokai legends, and Buddhist family traditions. Our mission is to share what most travel guides never show you: the spiritual and supernatural soul of Japan, explained by someone who has lived it.
